Senior Software Engineering Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a senior software engineer. As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing modern AWS cloud technologies.

Responsibilities include leading technology strategy on various applications and enrichment projects, providing technical expertise in design and implementation, contributing to and supporting enterprise architecture, strategic roadmaps, and transformation from current state to future state.

You will also be responsible for developing agile practices with continuous development, continuous integration & deployments, cloud enablement, working closely with Product Management and Quality Assurance teams to prioritize and develop various features, and being in tune with emerging trends and participating in evaluation of new technologies.

Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, at least 6 years of professional experience in software engineering, experience in leading global teams and technology initiatives/transformation, and experience with React, Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, HTTP/CSS and Angular (or a similar JS framework).

Additionally, you should have experience with web application development and familiarity with secure coding concepts, working knowledge of DevOps: Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, etc., understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices as well as Automation and Unit Testing, experience architecting and developing large scale enterprise applications, and experience with development frameworks and methodologies.

As a senior software engineer, you will be expected to monitor industry trends and directions, develop and present substantive technical recommendations to senior management, and possess excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong ability to influence both IT and business partners.

Finally, you will need to demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment and have financial services industry experience.
