Job Opportunity: Senior Construction Engineer

The role of a senior construction engineer is pivotal in the development and implementation of project management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with surveyors to obtain quantity estimates and verify drawings and layouts.
  • Supervise area grading, compaction, filling layers, and cutting activities.
  • Establish requirements for enabling materials and schedules of quantity.
  • Study plant layout, construction sequence, and project duration.
  • Coordinate with contractors and estimate manpower and other resource requirements.
  • Establish contractor offices and stores at site.
  • Ensure day-to-day execution, study of project standards and specifications, and proper stacking and storing of materials.
  • Validate BBS and ensure proper rebar cutting, bending, and field binding.
  • Ensure foundations and other civil activities are executed as per drawings.
  • Generate requests for civil construction materials and coordinate with Central Civil Group and batching plants.
  • Provide input to leads for insert plate fabrication and anchor bolt requirements.
  • Verify fabrication and fixing of templates for anchor bolt placement.
  • Inform superiors for raising SER in case of clashes with other disciplines.
  • Ensure surface rendering and finishing for concrete and fireproof surfaces.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Degree in Civil Engineering with 10-12 years of experience or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 19-21 years of experience.
  • Desirable: Experience in Refinery, Petrochemical, or similar large-scale plants.

This position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
