Key Role: Talent Acquisition Strategist

About the Position

We are seeking an accomplished HR professional to spearhead talent acquisition for our foreign university's campuses in India.

This role will focus on hiring top-notch talent, leveraging a deep understanding of the education landscape and networks across institutions.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Talent Acquisition Planning: Partner with stakeholders to understand workforce needs and design effective recruitment strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  2. Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development: Utilize multiple sourcing channels (job portals, referrals, social media, academic networks, and talent pools) to identify and engage high-quality candidates. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive talent for current and future roles.
  3. Candidate Experience Enhancement: Drive an engaging and seamless recruitment journey from first interaction to onboarding, ensuring candidates experience professionalism and transparency at every stage.
  4. Employer Branding & Job Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to craft compelling job descriptions and promote openings through relevant channels, strengthening the employer brand in the education and EdTech sectors.
  5. Data-Driven Recruitment Insights: Track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness, optimize processes, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  6. Compliance & Governance: Ensure recruitment practices are compliant with employment laws, UGC guidelines, and organizational policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment documentation.
  7. Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with people managers and leadership to support the people agenda—fostering collaboration, morale, productivity, and retention.
  8. Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor hiring strategies, and best practices to position the organization competitively in the talent market.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 6+ years of recruitment experience, with a strong focus in managing talent acquisition portfolios.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRMS, and other recruitment software/tools.
  • Proven track record of building high-performing teams from scratch and scaling recruitment processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
