Job Title

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The Technical Support Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Access Control and CCTV systems. This includes configuring, monitoring, and maintaining software and backend hardware across all offices globally. As the primary contact for Security Technology-related issues/outages, this staff member will be responsible for providing technical product support.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • To provide configuration support for Access Control and CCTV systems.
    • To diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues pertaining to Access Control, CCTV systems, and other CSI applications.
    • To provide remote support to internal clients on system configuration.
    • To identify and analyze system failures and provide support to on-site techs for break-fix.
    • To track system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits.
    • To escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
    • To document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals at the dedicated file depository/knowledgebase.

Application Server Support

This includes installing and configuring security system applications on servers, providing 24x7 monitoring of application services hosted on servers, and properly escalating unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.

Additional Responsibilities

To respond timely and professionally to emergency service calls during office hours and off-office hours, including nights. To involve other team members to establish best practices/decisions. To act independently as required. To report to senior management to ensure satisfaction of work. To participate in departmental meetings.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Experience with Access Control and CCTV systems, installation, and maintenance is a plus. Knowledge of CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software, iStar controller, and their integration is required. Experience with enterprise CCTV systems like Intellicene (Cognyte/Verint), Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions, Windows Server Operating Systems, SQL, PowerShell programming, excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, technical trouble shooting, reverse engineering skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and motivated self-starter are essential.

Educational Requirements

An Engineering Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or any equivalent qualification is required.
