Credit Control Function Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Credit Management Lead to oversee the credit control function and ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables, minimizing bad debts, and maintaining healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective credit control policies and procedures, including credit limits and payment terms.
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness through financial analysis, credit scoring, and risk assessments.
  • Approve or recommend credit limits based on thorough evaluations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable closely to prevent overdue payments.
  • Regularly review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Lead the collections team in following up on outstanding invoices.
  • Resolve invoice disputes and escalate critical cases promptly.
  • Maintain regular communication with key customers to secure timely payments.
  • Prepare detailed reports on receivables, aging, DSO, and collection efficiency for management review.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Customer Service teams to resolve any credit-related issues efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience in credit management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex credit scenarios.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while prioritizing tasks.
