Job Opportunity: Senior Credit Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement credit policies, frameworks, and processes for SME lending and supply chain financing.
  • Lead the credit appraisal and underwriting function, including risk assessment of borrowers and evaluation of their creditworthiness.
  • Oversee portfolio quality, delinquency management, and design early warning mechanisms to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with business, risk, and operations teams to balance growth objectives with prudent credit practices.
  • Present credit proposals and portfolio performance updates to senior management and regulators as required.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing credit team capable of handling large loan books.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory requirements impacting SME lending.
Requirements:
  • 8–15 years of experience in credit risk/underwriting with strong SME exposure.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain finance and related credit products.
  • Proven ability to build credit frameworks from scratch and manage large portfolios.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • CA/MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
