Job Overview

The role of Senior Manager involves overseeing end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring of personal loans through a digital journey.

This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive business growth while minimizing risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Underwriting Policies: Create and implement underwriting policies to ensure risk management and portfolio profitability.
  • Collaborate with Data Science Team: Work with the data science team to analyze underwriting models and validate their performance on current portfolios.
  • Monitor Portfolio Performance: Analyze portfolio performance and recommend policy changes to the policy head.
  • Automate Credit Policies: Automate credit policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.
  • Develop Pricing Strategies: Develop pricing strategies based on segmentation and risk assessment.
  • Standardize Processes: Standardize policies and processes across the organization.
Performance Monitoring
  • Analyze Portfolio Performance: Conduct regular credit reviews and identify high-risk segments.
  • Mitigate Risks: Mitigate risks identified based on portfolio performance.
  • Monitor Delinquent Accounts: Monitor delinquent accounts to ensure company standards are met.
  • Identify Technological Solutions: Identify technological solutions to improve existing processes and portfolio management functions.
New Partner Integrations
  • Understand New Channel Partner Products: Understand new channel partner products and target segments.
  • Requisition Data: Requisition necessary data from channel partners at application time.
  • Create Policy: Create policy based on product information and prevailing models.
  • Facilitate Data Room Exercise: Facilitate data room exercise for new customer segments.
  • Formulate Policy: Formulate policy considering expected loss rates.
  • Monitor Policy Implementation: Monitor policy implementation, UAT, and production test runs.
Relationship Management

Maintain relations with Partners, credit reporting agencies, and assist in all credit operations.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate Qualification: Postgraduate in Finance/Statistics/Management from reputable institutes.
  • Preferred Qualifications: BTech with MBA.
Experience
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum 7 years with 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation.
  • Fair Understanding of Risk Performance: Fair understanding of risk performance required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience working with large datasets using data processing tools.
