As a highly skilled containerized platform specialist, your primary responsibility will be to design, deploy and maintain robust, scalable and secure internal Kubernetes platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that applications and systems are stable, reliable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance, scalable and secure containerized infrastructure that supports the deployment, scaling and management of applications.
  • Design, implement and maintain automation scripts, tools and documentation to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Ensure platform stability and performance by proactively monitoring system metrics, troubleshooting issues and optimizing resources.
  • Implement observability solutions, such as monitoring, logging and tracing tools, to gain valuable insights into platform performance and application behavior.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, helping them adopt the Kubernetes platform and improve their application deployment and management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects and project managers to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget and meet business requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with OpenShift services and best practices.
Requirements:
  • At least 7+ years of experience in OpenShift engineering including some public cloud experience.
  • Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE or a similar role.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts and components, with hands-on experience in building and managing Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
  • End-to-end implementation of the Kubernetes architecture - installation, configuration, hardening, networking etc.
  • Proficiency in a procedural or scripting programming language (examples: Python, Go).
  • Experienced with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery principles (examples: GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
  • Experience designing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes.
  • Experience with automation tools, such as Helm, Terraform, Ansible and Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of security and compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with observability best practices and tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK Stack.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Desirable Skills:
  • TAS (Tanzu Application Service), Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AKS, NSX, NSX-T experience a plus.
  • Automation/Continuous Integration (Concourse, Salt, Fabric, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy etc.).
  • Demonstrated competency in a programming/scripting language, with a strong preference for Go experience and Python.
  • Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as code APIs using interface definition tools like Swagger.
  • Strong understanding of virtual computing environments and concepts such as Hypervisors and load balancing concepts.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and preferably hands-on experience with Identity management, Access Management, Certificate management.
  • Experience designing and implementing containerized infrastructure logging and observability tools such as Splunk, Fluentd/Fluentbit, Prometheus/Grafana/Alert Manager Suite, Wavefront, APPD.
  • Experience with .net core and .net framework.
  • Experience with Open Policy Agents or other policy engines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OpenShift and Kubernetes, with experience in designing, deploying and maintaining containerized platforms. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
