Job Overview:

This role is responsible for designing and executing the marketplace strategy, balancing farmer demand, labour supply, SLAs, and unit economics.

Job Description:

This position involves leading a founding leadership team to design and own the marketplace strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketplace Design & Strategy:
    • Create an end-to-end marketplace model that balances farmer demand generation, labour acquisition, pricing, and liquidity balance.
    • Develop frameworks for incentives, trust, and SLA enforcement suitable for rural India.
    • Expand into new crops, districts, and states with scalable playbooks.
  • Supply & Demand Management:
    • Drive labour onboarding by building repeatable sourcing and training models for mukkadams and crews.
    • Own farmer acquisition and conversion funnels, partnering with growth and agronomy teams.
    • Monitor key metrics such as fulfilment %, churn, cancellations, idle time, and per-acre cost.
  • Product & Digital Systems:
    • Work with product and tech teams to build dispatch systems, job cards, SLA trackers, and payment workflows.
    • Translate on-ground pain points into digital features—from routing to crew performance scoring.
    • Create farmer- and labour-first interfaces in vernacular languages.
  • SLA, Quality & Compliance:
    • Establish clear SLAs for arrival, completion, and task quality; design systems to enforce them.
    • Build rating/review systems to create trust between farmers and workers.
    • Ensure compliance in safety, payments, and labour standards.
  • Leadership & Scale:
    • Hire and manage a team across category management, operations, and supply growth.
    • Build training and certification programs for supervisors and field coordinators.
    • Establish multi-district governance for rapid scale-up.
