Senior System Engineer

Your new role will be challenging and future-oriented, requiring a senior engineer to lead the solution to the customer.

  • You should have predominantly worked on CBTC projects in a more responsible role.
  • You shall be responsible for defining, creating, leading, and delivering the solution to the customer.
  • You shall coordinate with key project stakeholders and ensure alignment to deliver the project within stipulated timeframes.
  • You shall evaluate customer requirements and prepare System Requirements Specifications (SRS).
  • You shall define and control the system, assuming overall technical responsibility for the system architecture and concept in customer projects.
  • You shall be responsible for the engineering statement during the bid phase/ Letter of Award (LoA).
  • You will ensure communication and act as an interface between the project, Bid Group, Development, Product Management, Engineering, and the customer regarding system architecture and concept.
  • You are responsible for determining and updating the system architecture and concept throughout the entire project duration.
  • You will analyze user requirements regarding non-existent, unclear or contradictory requirements, compile any assumptions as substitutes, and initiate speedy clarification with the customer.
  • You will consult with the project manager on system and architecture issues and develop suggestions for a technically and commercially optimal system concept.

  • You should have a good understanding/knowledge of railway principles and standards, which is mandatory.
  • You shall have a good understanding of Systems Engineering lifecycle phases.
  • You should possess good communication skills and be a good team player, self-driven, and goal-oriented.
  • You shall be familiar with all processes at both system and subsystem levels.
  • You should demonstrate key leadership qualities demanded by the role and have similar experience for at least 4 years.
  • You shall work closely with PM and Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

This role involves several critical responsibilities, including system analysis, system design, system development, and system implementation. You will also be required to work closely with various teams, such as Project Management, Engineering, and Product Management.

Requirements:
  • Railway Principles and Standards: A good understanding of railway principles and standards is essential for this role.
  • Systems Engineering Lifecycle: Familiarity with Systems Engineering lifecycle phases is necessary.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills and teamwork abilities are required.
  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience in a similar role for at least 4 years are necessary.
