Director of Operations About the Role

The Director of Operations is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the hotel. As a member of the senior management team, you will be instrumental in driving guest satisfaction and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management: Oversee all areas of the hotel operation, ensuring that guest service experience is delivered to the highest levels.
  2. Strategic Partnership: Work proactively with Heads of Department and key stakeholders to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort.
  3. Performance Improvement: Identify, communicate, and deliver strategies to improve key hotel metrics.
  4. Talent Management: Effectively manage and review the life cycle of the team within the hotel, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance.
  5. Business Planning: Deliver the hotel budget and business plan, ensuring that all areas of the hotel operation are controlled.
  6. Revenue Growth: Maximize sales and profit, business opportunities, and brand reputation, productivity, and performance.
  7. Relationship Building: Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  8. Operational Review: Review and scrutinize business operations, objectives, and best practices, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance and provide added value.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in hotel operations with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style commitment to exceptional guest service.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations.
  • Personal Integrity: Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy.
  • Technical Skills: Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills.
