Data Governance - Manager is responsible to build and support the tools & technology required to enable an Enterprise Data Governance program.

This role requires a strong understanding of data governance best practices, architecture, and experience working with data governance tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation.

The primary contributor will act as a key stakeholder for the tool implementation of Data governance programs. Building and supporting solutions for Data governance in popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc. enables data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage of the enterprise's applications and data sources.

Enabling enterprise level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information involves developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries. This supports clear data ownership along with access control management through implementing a solution for Data Cataloging with a Data governance tool.

BUILDING CUSTOM INTEGRATIONS between the Data governance tool and various data stores maps and views data lineage. Supporting the enterprise in migrating from existing (and different) data sources like SharePoint, Excel, etc. to a Data Governance tool optimizes business operations.

IMPLEMENTING WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS optimizes, improves, and automates Data Governance workflows for data stewards to increase output, eliminate repetition, and reduce errors. Additionally, tracking, investigating, and correcting data quality issues in a Data Governance tool involves setting up data quality rules for data validation and standardization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc., to implement Data governance programs
  • 5+ years experience in data management space under any area
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies
  • Certifications on these tools are a plus
