Financial Process Associate

As a Financial Process Associate, you will be responsible for providing support to major clients in the financial services industry. Your role involves accounting and financial data extraction, spreading, and enabling a holistic view based on summarized data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project requests, guide analysts on execution, and ensure output is client-ready.
  • Review analyst work for accuracy and consistency in categorization of line items, journal entries, invoice processing, and other project-related deliverables.
  • Handhold teams on complex projects, ensuring adherence to project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maximize team productivity and ensure communication guidelines and timelines are adhered.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Train analysts in spreading financial statements in client databases.
  • Read and interpret information from notes/schedules accompanying financial statements.
  • Develop analysts' concept clarity and ability to interpret financial data.
  • Collect pass due amounts via calls and emails.
  • Understand Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and apply cash timely.
  • Collate financial information and KPIs from broker reports, management call transcripts, and news articles.
  • Oversee journal entries, PO requisitions, vendor creations, and payment reconciliations.
  • Manage Non-PO & PO invoices and pay invoices within timeframe.
  • Manage Travel and Entertainment (T&E) payments.
  • Create monthly/ad-hoc reports.
  • Manage Fixed Assets: accounting and reporting of organizations' fixed assets.
  • Ensure accurate capitalization, asset disposal, impairment testing, and depreciation calculations.
  • Proactively manage client communication and serve as point of contact.

Team Management:

  • Set goals and conduct performance reviews of direct reports.
  • Audit team timesheets and trackers for completeness and correctness.
  • Identify training needs and provide coaching and mentoring where appropriate.
  • Recruit and retain high-quality talent into the team.
  • Institute knowledge sharing/best practice sharing forums.
  • Prepare periodic performance, utilization, and efficiency reporting packages.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in English language with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting concepts and well-versed in financial terms.
  • Experience in either financial statement analysis or AP/OTC/RTR process.
  • Flexible mindset and adaptability to manage client deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strive for excellence.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience.
  • Any graduate/MBA with finance specialization.
