Job Title: Data Architect

Data Engineer Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team at suventure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled professional with expertise in GCP, data engineering, and analytics/data product development.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies, experience working with Big Query, Data Fusion, and other GCP services, as well as proficiency in Python and Terraform.

The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems using GCP technologies.
  • Develop and implement data pipelines using Apache Beam, Airflow, and other tools.
  • Maintain and improve existing data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python and other languages.
  • Optimize data processing and storage costs using data warehouse best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of SQL development experience.
  • 5+ years of analytics/data product development experience required.
  • 3+ years of GCP experience with solutions designed and implemented at production scale.
  • Experience working in GCP native services like Big Query, Google Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Airflow for scheduling and orchestration of data pipelines.
  • 1+ year of experience working with Terraform to provision Infrastructure as Code.
  • 2+ years of professional development experience in Python.
