Job Title: Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust health, safety, and environmental policy to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the production process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet customer demands.
  • Maintain optimal equipment performance through effective operation and control.
  • Coordinate material resource planning to guarantee safety stock levels and meet operational needs.
  • Promote operational excellence by adopting lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements, as well as statutory regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including dispatch teams, purchasing departments, vendors, and departmental heads.
  • Collaborate daily with maintenance, quality, and dispatch departments to drive business objectives.
  • Meet product quality and efficiency standards while monitoring departmental KPIs.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
  • Provide training to departmental personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Pursue opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and OEE enhancements in the plant.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of workplace management, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO standards throughout operations.


Profile/Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess a B.Tech/M.Tech (Chemical) degree with at least 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing refractory, chemical, or insulation products.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in operating mixing and batching plants, boiler operation, and SAP familiarity.

A basic understanding of tunnel oven or kiln process is essential.
