**Chief Risk Officer**: A Key Position in Risk Management

The organization is seeking a highly skilled Manager - Risk & Audit to fill this crucial role. The position plays a pivotal part in assessing and mitigating operational risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing overall audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Audit Planning and Reporting**:
    • Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessments and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and present audit findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and audit committees.
  • **Internal Audits**:
    • Plan and execute internal audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
    • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to address identified issues.
  • **Compliance Monitoring**:
    • Monitor regulatory compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, and guidelines related to risk management and audit activities.
  • **Risk Assessments**:
    • Evaluate and identify potential risks within various operational areas of the organization.
    • Develop risk assessment frameworks and methodologies to identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks effectively.
  • **Risk Mitigation**:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field with 8+ years of experience, preferably with 2-3 years of audit-related experience in the mutual fund industry.
  • Professional certification or post-graduation such as MBA is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques, audit principles, and regulatory requirements applicable to mutual funds.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders, present audit findings, and collaborate on risk mitigation strategies.
