Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our operations in India. As the Country Head, you will be responsible for driving business growth and facilitating the energy transition through innovative approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage established networks and personal connections to develop and close financial transactions for our current and upcoming projects in India.
  • Collaborate with our leadership to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, encompassing business development, origination, new market initiatives, and project management.
  • Effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including clients, consultants, industry players, and regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise and prepare client deliverables, including research and write-ups, papers, concept notes, and presentations.
  • Lead transaction and engagement management.
  • Review existing laws and regulations, industry trends, and data required to complete reports.
  • Conduct due diligence, prepare and review financial models, and support financial analysis for debt, equity, and hybrid financing structures.
  • Mentor team members, foster collaboration, and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in climate, energy transition, finance, and business development.
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong connections within the Indian power and/or finance community.
  • A deep understanding of India's electricity, capital, and financial markets.
  • A proven track record in deal closure, particularly in debt and/or equity financing in India.
  • Prior experience in country team management or a supervisory role is preferred.
  • A highly professional and reliable approach.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling is required.
  • A strong team player mentality with the ability to manage both teams and large transactions.
  • A proven success in client management.
  • An entrepreneurial, creative, and self-driven individual.
