Lead Commercial Strategist

We are seeking a high-achieving business leader to drive strategic growth and lead our operations in India.

This role is part of our leadership succession plan, with the current Country Head transitioning out after 20+ years. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading commercial initiatives in India, managing a team of direct reports across commercial functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing value-based sales strategies to drive business growth and emphasize our company's technical strength and global capabilities.
  • BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY GLOBAL PHARMACEUTICAL CLIENTS, including C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across oncology, injectables, and other high-value API segments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10–15 years of leadership experience in the API/pharmaceutical industry, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial or general management role.
  • Proven success in managing and growing international API client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of the API development and manufacturing lifecycle, particularly in oncology and injectables.
  • Excellent business acumen with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to travel up to 60%, both within India and internationally.
