Job Title: Culinary Team Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service in our kitchens.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Schedule Management: Manage the daily scheduling of kitchen staff, ensuring that the right people are in the right place at the right time to deliver exceptional service.
  2. Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand.
  3. Chef Development: Develop and implement training programs to improve the skills and knowledge of our chefs, ensuring that they are equipped to provide the best possible service.
  4. Menu Planning: Work closely with our chef de cuisine to plan and develop new menu items, ensuring that they are appealing to customers and profitable for the business.
  5. Kitchen Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
  • A culinary degree from a recognized institution.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
