Debt Recovery Specialist

A leading financial institution seeks a seasoned professional to lead their debt recovery efforts. As a Debt Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a team of collection agents and overseeing the operational recovery activities for assigned regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of collection agents, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in debt recovery processes.
  • Analyze data and metrics to inform strategic decision-making and drive business outcomes.
  • Develop and implement action plans to minimize delinquencies and maintain portfolio health.
  • Classify cases for restructuring or legal intervention, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor policies and industry best practices to inform collection strategies.
  • Collaborate with business and support teams to resolve customer complaints and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in debt recovery or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
