Project Director

The role of Project Director is crucial for overseeing the entire lifecycle of switchgear projects, from initial receipt to final handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution & Coordination:
    • Manage project schedules, deliverables, and milestones using specialized project management tools.
    • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, production, QA/QC, and site teams to ensure timely project execution.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
    • Conduct regular progress reviews and client meetings to ensure client satisfaction and alignment with project requirements.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Prepare and manage project documentation, including project plans, BOQs, drawings, and test reports.
    • Ensure adherence to relevant electrical standards (IEC, IS, etc.) and industry protocols.
  • Cost Management & Control:
    • Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures to prevent overruns.
    • Track material usage, resource allocation, and contractor invoices.
  • Installation & Commissioning Support:
    • Coordinate the installation, testing, and commissioning of switchgear panels at client sites (where applicable).
    • Support field service engineers and facilitate timely handovers and sign-offs.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems / EEE or related discipline.
  • Certification: PMP or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
Experience:
  • Project Management Experience: 8+ years in managing LV/MV/HV switchgear projects (AIS/GIS) for industrial, utility, or infrastructure clients.
  • Vendor Coordination Experience: Proven experience in managing vendor coordination, technical specifications, drawings, and installations.
