Job Title

A Compliance Assurance Professional will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance in the Middle East and Africa region. The role involves monitoring and executing risk controls to ensure alignment with global standards.

  • Compliance knowledge of anti-money laundering, countering terrorism regulations and consumer protection is essential.
  • The successful candidate must have excellent analytical skills, enabling them to identify control deficiencies and develop corrective actions.
  • Strong communication and project management skills are also required to collaborate with stakeholders and drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Working closely with the Global Assurance team, the individual will provide regular updates on regulatory risk exposure and control status.

As a key member of the MEA Risk and Compliance team, the professional will contribute significantly to the design and implementation of assurance testing for the region.

Key job responsibilities include:

  1. Performing operational deep dives to understand and find gaps in compliance-related processes and services.
  2. Identifying and assessing inherent and residual risks related to control deficiencies.
  3. Working closely with the Compliance Officers to drive scalable risk and compliance testing solutions.
  4. Participating in process improvement initiatives, including identifying best practices and implementing innovative solutions.
  5. Embracing the use of data analytics to increase value and reduce costs of compliance-related assurance activities.
  6. Managing several projects simultaneously with precision and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Law).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance or risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and understand business processes, regulations, internal controls, and develop meaningful tests.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools and technologies.
