Senior Engineering Manager

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to oversee our backend systems and infrastructure. This is a pivotal role where you'll drive the development of critical services, manage AWS resources, and ensure seamless deployment of our applications.

About the Role:
  • Oversight of multiple teams and direct leadership of engineering groups.
  • Strategic planning and direction of technical roadmaps.
  • Technical architecture and system design.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers, promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Schedule performance reviews, handle salary increases and job assignments.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience building, shipping, and managing large-scale backend systems (Go and Python strongly preferred).
  • Strong grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
  • Expertise with AWS stack: EC2, RDS/Postgres, Redis, networking basics (VPC, NAT, IGW).
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, and ECS.
  • Bonus: Geospatial systems (H3, OSRM, Redis Geo), real-time platforms, or ML inference integration.
  • Ambitious mindset, comfortable with ownership, ambiguity, and speed over perfection.
Responsibilities:
  1. Directly lead cross-functional teams, ensuring successful project delivery and high-quality code.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders, identifying business needs and defining technical solutions.
  3. Implement secure coding practices, architectural best practices, and maintainable software development processes.
  4. Build strong relationships with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success.
