**Senior Backend Engineer Role**

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our core backend infrastructure. This role involves building and scaling high-performance systems that power our AI customer service agents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend engineering, with expertise in Python (Django experience a plus) and cloud skills (AWS or GCP). They will be responsible for architecting backend services and infra for massive enterprise-grade scale, deploying and managing systems on cloud platforms with a focus on speed and reliability.

This is a high-ownership role that requires collaboration with founders and the founding engineer to influence architecture and direction. The successful candidate will drive projects from design to deployment in a startup environment, taking ownership of their work and delivering results.

  • **Required Skills and Qualifications:**
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with deep Python expertise (Django a plus)
  • Strong cloud skills (AWS or GCP), with familiarity in Kubernetes/Docker
  • Proven track record of building and scaling infrastructure in production
  • Prior startup experience or evidence of end-to-end ownership (founder, early team member, or shipped independent projects)
  • CS degree or equivalent professional foundation
