Odoo Functional Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Odoo functional consultant to join our team. As an expert in the field, you will lead requirement gathering workshops and understand client business processes within and outside Odoo.

You will be responsible for performing gap analysis, drafting BRD/FRS, and facilitating UAT sessions. Your close collaboration with developers will ensure smooth translation of business needs into technical solutions.

Assessing cost/benefit of changes to functionality requested by users and ensuring a sensible change management system is used with Odoo 17 will also be part of your role.

You will recommend process improvements using standard Odoo functionalities with a focus on minimizing customization.

Create training documentation, user guides, and video tutorials to ensure client teams can effectively use delivered solutions.

Conduct end-user training, demos, go-live support, and handovers as required.

Travel to client sites (Europe/US) when needed for on-ground process mapping and workshops.

Take ownership of projects and ensure timely delivery.

Where functionality is problematic – problem solve and ensure swift resolution of issues.

Candidate will be expected to fully test functionality in both live and staging areas, identifying risks and mitigating to ensure problem-free deployments.

Work with management team to ensure we are attaining the optimum levels of data security.

Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of Odoo functional consulting experience (Odoo 17 essential).
  • Strong knowledge of Odoo core modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, MRP, HR).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (Europe/US).
  • Self-driven, with the ability to take ownership of client projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in providing training manuals, SOPs and other documentation to instruct users of software.
  • 3+ years of project management experience
