Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Support Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in Lab Execution Systems and industry best practices for validating systems. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Biovia One Lab or other lab-based applications, and be a collaborative team member in supporting and maintaining business-critical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimum performance and stability of Biovia One Lab and other lab-based applications.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support for technical queries, bug fixes, and small enhancements related to application and platform, adhering to ITIL standards and change control procedures.
  • Work on application upgrades, major ones, and hot fixes.
  • Purchase and manage parser migrations.
  • Take ownership of issues from delivery or issue resolution to escalation, as appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline integrations.
  • Execute manual backup/restoration and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide end-to-end support for applications.
  • Develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems, documenting and sharing that knowledge with global teams.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders, including users, infrastructure/middleware teams, and 3rd party software vendors, for resolving issues and potential process improvements.
  • Train, guide, and mentor new hires in the team.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in application support and maintenance (L2/L3 support) of off-the-shelf Lab Execution System – Biovia One lab.
  • Understanding of modules: Workbook, Hub, Cipro, Compose, and Direct.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements, including GMP, GxP, and 21 CFR Part.
  • Exposure to software system validation.
