Job Overview:
The Market Pricing Strategist will drive competitive pricing across multiple engagement models, ensuring optimal profitability while maintaining client competitiveness. This role demands strong financial modeling skills, close collaboration with Sales & Delivery teams, and a deep understanding of IT services deal structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain pricing models to lead deal pricing for pursuits across Time and Material (T&M), Fixed Price, and Managed Services contracts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design commercial models that balance client needs with Microland's profitability objectives.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess risks, margins, and financial impact of large deals.
- Track and publish win–loss analysis for submitted deals to identify pricing trends and improvement areas.
- Deliver monthly profitability reports, highlighting key variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide financial insights on market benchmarks, competitor pricing, and industry trends to strengthen pricing strategy.
- Support the development of business unit Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, deal pricing, and margin analysis.
- Solid understanding of IT services business models, including Managed Services, Outsourcing, Application, and Infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial systems, and scenario modeling tools.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders under tight deadlines.
- Business acumen to balance competitive pricing with long-term profitability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.
- 3–6 years of experience in deal pricing / business finance / Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) roles within IT services organizations.
- Experience supporting global/multi-geo deals is an added advantage.
