Job Title

Asset Manager: Fixed Assets and Inventory Optimization

This role is responsible for maintaining a detailed fixed asset register, ensuring accurate classification, tagging, and identification of all fixed assets.

Key responsibilities include calculating and recording depreciation expenses in accordance with accounting standards, conducting regular asset revaluation and impairment assessments, and performing periodic physical verification of fixed assets.

The Asset Manager will also collaborate with internal and external auditors during asset audits, ensure adherence to regulatory and accounting standards related to fixed assets, and prepare and submit fixed asset reports.

Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, movements, and valuations in SAP systems is also a critical component of this role.

In addition, the Asset Manager will monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or understocking, conduct periodic stock audits, and reconcile physical inventory with system records.

Developing strategies to optimize stock turnover and reduce holding costs, identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and proposing action plans are also key responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certifications like CPA, CMA, or CA are an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in fixed asset and inventory management
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP S4HANA
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and asset management standards
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and MS Excel
