Job Title: Senior Fixed Asset Accountant
Job Description:The Senior Fixed Asset Accountant plays a pivotal role in the organization's financial management, responsible for the timely and accurate processing, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets. This position supports other general accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Review asset authorizations to ensure appropriateness and verify correct authority levels.
- Set up assets in Oracle to monitor spending and identify assets ready for capitalization.
- Create system records for new assets, record disposals and sales, and prepare fixed asset-related entries in non-Oracle general ledgers.
- Reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger, investigate discrepancies, and report construction-in-process detail and capital expenditures.
- Prepare a roll-forward of fixed asset balances, including new assets, disposals, depreciation expense, and foreign exchange that ties to the GL.
- Prepare gain and loss reports for assets sold and disposed.
- 5-9 years of relevant experience in accounting (US GAAP).
- Knowledge of commonly used accounting and fixed asset concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficient in Oracle Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger modules.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, make level-appropriate decisions, and meet deadlines for deliverables.
