Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing cost estimates and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate costing models.

The Cost Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze costs, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to reduce costs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • 6-10 years of experience in cost engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of one or two commodities, such as machining, castings, or mechanical assemblies
  • Proficient in design for manufacturing analysis (DFM), procurement processes, PPAP, and GD&T
  • Knowledge of statistical tools like regression analysis for target costing
  • Expertise in using should-costing tools, such as Costimator, aPriori, Facton, or PriceSystems
  • Hands-on experience with CAD tools, including AutoCAD, ProE, or SolidWorks
