The People Assistant role will provide organized administrative support in responding to HR inquiries and issues by serving as the first point of contact for all employees throughout their employment lifecycle. A high-level customer service approach is required to coordinate sensitive employee data, ensuring efficient and professional support for the business.

Directly supporting the VP of People - Shared Services with the delivery of comprehensive HR services, as well as assisting the Talent Acquisition and Reward teams when necessary, the People Assistant will be confident in handling a wide range of tasks, prioritizing effectively, and building relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in responses
  • Support the onboarding process for new starters by sending offer letters, setting up electronic HR systems, conducting right-to-work checks, providing payroll documents, and monitoring probation progress
  • Serve as the primary support for employees and line managers regarding general queries and policy advice, escalating issues to the VP of People - Shared Services when needed
  • Manage the People shared inbox for the business area, categorizing incoming queries appropriately
  • Provide notetaking support in formal meetings and draft outcome letters when necessary
  • Draft and produce employee letters for changes to terms and conditions, family leave, references, and resignation acknowledgements
  • Offer proactive support to the wider People team
  • Analyze and report on People data
  • BUILD positive and effective relationships with the wider business and relevant stakeholders
  • Work within a 7AM-4PM shift schedule (to align with the Australian team)

Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience in HR Operations for the Australian region (a significant advantage)

Salary: Approximately $65,000 per year (dependent on location and experience), reflecting the company's commitment to fair compensation for exceptional talent.
