Job Title: System Performance Engineer

About this role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a system performance engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining infrastructure supporting ad exchange applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking concepts and modern software architectures. Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and virtualization platforms preferably GCP is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop policies and procedures improving overall platform stability and participate in shared on-call schedule.
  • Work closely with developers establishing quality and performance benchmarks ensuring applications meet necessary criteria before deployment to production.
  • Continuously improve infrastructure resilience, scalability, and efficiency to meet massive request volume and stringent latency requirements.

Collaboration with Developers:

  • Participate in design reviews providing feedback on infrastructure-related aspects improving system performance and reliability.
  • Implement best practices and tools for performance monitoring including real-time analysis and response mechanisms.

Building Tools for Infra Management:

  • Develop tools simplifying and enhancing infrastructure management automating processes and improving operational efficiency.
  • These tools may address areas such as monitoring, alerting, deployment automation, and failure detection and recovery critical in minimizing latency and maintaining uptime.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience managing services in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong programming skills with focus on automation.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Ruby programming languages.
  • Experience with Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jenkins, and Git.

  • Load Balancers Servers: haproxy or Nginx.
  • Version control systems: Git.
