Senior Cloud Architect

The Senior Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, optimizing and supporting the cloud infrastructure that supports our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and relevant integrations in production.

This role will focus on deploying, supporting, and scaling Windows Server environments on AWS, provisioning and managing SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, migrating customer databases between instances to optimize performance, managing backups and recovery, and ensuring the reliability of hybrid cloud applications including Windows Forms applications delivered via Thinfinity VirtualUI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Optimization: Develop, configure, and maintain Windows Server virtual machines within AWS. Provision, manage, and optimize performance for SQL Server and PostgreSQL database instances.
  • Production Operations and Reliability Engineering: Monitor the production environment to ensure optimal system uptime and performance across all customers. Implement automation solutions to support proactive maintenance, resource scaling, and incident response.
  • Application Hosting and Optimization: Host and manage .NET applications (Web APIs, and ASP.NET apps) across IaaS, PaaS, and serverless environments. Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with application architecture and release cycles.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a focus on AWS.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing Windows Server environments in production.
  • Strong experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL database provisioning, performance tuning, and migration.

  • Database Management: Skilled in the management and tuning of SQL Server and PostgreSQL in production environments.
