Job Title: Network Security Engineer L3

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures across enterprise environments. This role is critical to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data by defending against network-based threats and vulnerabilities.

The successful candidate will have experience in designing and deploying secure network architectures for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. They will be responsible for configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and network access control systems. Additionally, they will monitor network traffic and security events using IDS/IPS and SIEM platforms, conduct regular network vulnerability assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments, excellent documentation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional security initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in network security engineering or architecture.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, SNMP).
  • Experience with IDS/IPS tools (e.g., Snort, Suricata, Cisco Firepower).
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm).
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) and secure remote access.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and security controls (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).
  • Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and security tasks.
