
FMCG Sales Lead

The Category FMCG Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management of a team of 8-10 members for buying National & Regional FMCG brands. This includes conducting classroom training and on-the-job training, as well as grooming and developing team members.
This role requires close collaboration with various teams, including Store Operations, Supply Chain, core Purchase, and Central purchase to maximize offtakes and ensure best promotions in stores. The successful candidate must be willing to travel across locations within the region assigned and PAN India.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of 8-10 members for buying National & Regional FMCG brands.
- Conduct classroom training and on-the-job training for team members.
- Groom and develop team members.
- Closely work with various teams to maximize offtakes and ensure best promotions in stores.
- Meet key vendor partners on regular basis for negotiations, forecasting, and category development initiatives.
- Discuss and close monthly and quarterly plans with FMCG vendors.
Must be a Graduate/Post Graduate/MBA with minimum 10 years experience in FMCG sales. Experience in General Trade will be preferred. Must have knowledge of local language/location of posting, and be willing to travel.
Must possess good communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Team management and training skills are essential for this role.
