Role Overview:

This role will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our trading platforms and infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:
  • System Reliability:
    • Ensure trading platforms, order management systems, and critical infrastructure are reliable and available.
    • Optimize system performance for low-latency trading and fast order execution.
  • Fault Tolerance:
    • Design architectures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous availability of trading services.
    • Implement disaster recovery plans and procedures for business continuity.
  • Monitoring and Incident Response:
    • Develop monitoring solutions to detect anomalies and system failures.
    • Respond promptly and effectively to minimize impact on trading operations.
  • Deployment and Release Management:
    • Manage deployment pipelines and release processes for trading systems with minimal disruption.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement security best practices and compliance measures to protect trading systems and customer data.
    • Ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Automation and Tooling:
    • Develop automation scripts to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Capacity Planning:
    • Monitor trading volumes and system usage to forecast capacity requirements.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Maintain documentation of system architecture, processes, and best practices.
    • Share knowledge and collaborate with other teams to improve overall system reliability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 2+ Years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
