Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Disaster Recovery Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of an unexpected disruption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops Business Continuity Plans: Develops and implements comprehensive business continuity plans to mitigate potential risks and disruptions.
  • Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conducts thorough risk assessments to identify potential business impact of unpredictable events such as natural disasters, security breaches, legal claims, and market disruptions.
  • IT Organization Prioritization: Collaborates with IT organization teams to prioritize and align IT strategies with key business objectives.
  • Recovery Operations: Oversees the implementation of recovery operations and methods to enable the organization to function at limited or partial capacity in the event of infrastructure damage or destruction.
  • Practice Drills and Program Metrics: Coordinates practice drills to test plan execution and tracks program metrics to measure activities and progress.
  • Business Continuity Tools: Reviews, configures, and maintains business continuity tools to support efficient plan execution.
  • Crisis Management Coordination: Collaborates with health, safety, and security staff, as well as local, state, and federal agencies to align emergency management plans with established best practices and community standards.
  • Response Coordination and Communications: Supports response coordination and communications during business disruptions.
