Key Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for leading policy advocacy and influence initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships, and developing crisis management and reputation protection strategies.

  • Lead regular interactions with government officials to ensure a favorable policy environment for operations.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to environmental clearances, labor law compliance, land use permissions, and industrial licensing requirements specific to Andhra Pradesh.
  • Develop and execute crisis communication protocols, serve as primary media spokesperson during sensitive situations, and maintain relationships with key regional media personnel.
  • Track policy developments affecting the steel/manufacturing sector, prepare position papers, and advocacy strategies, represent company interests in industry associations and government consultations.
  • Lead land acquisition processes, liaison with revenue officials, and coordinate with legal teams on property-related matters and dispute resolution.
  • Brief senior leadership on political developments, coordinate with various departments (HR, Legal, Operations) to align corporate affairs strategies with business objectives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • The candidate should be an expert in engaging with government and industry leaders to influence policy and advance business goals.
  • The candidate should have a proven ability to handle media during crises and proactively mitigate risks.
  • The candidate should have deep knowledge of land procurement, labor standards, and the socio-political landscape of Vijayawada/Andhra Pradesh.
  • The candidate should be capable of developing and executing data-driven public affairs strategies.
  • The candidate should be skilled in leading a team and influencing stakeholders within a complex, matrix organization.
