Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager with over 10 years of experience in commercial contract management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract negotiations, financial analysis, and risk management, particularly within the construction, industrial services, or infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Contract Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from negotiation and execution to post-award management and closure. Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments on contracts, identifying potential liabilities and proposing risk mitigation strategies. Ensure all contracts are in alignment with the company's risk management framework and legal compliance requirements.
- Financial Analysis & Cost Control: Manage the financial aspects of commercial contracts, including budgeting, cost estimation, and profit margins. Conduct financial analysis to ensure contract profitability and adherence to company financial goals.
- Vendor & Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key clients and vendors, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and disputes are resolved efficiently.
- Compliance & Legal Liaison: Ensure that all commercial activities comply with legal standards, industry regulations, and internal policies. Liaise with the legal team to ensure that contract terms are compliant and that the company's interests are protected.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on contract performance, financial status, and risk management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts, amendments, and related correspondence.
- Leadership & Team Collaboration: Lead and mentor junior team members in contract management, negotiations, and risk analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts and alignment with business objectives.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in commercial contract management within the construction, infrastructure, industrial services, or related industries.
- Proven track record: Proven track record of negotiating and managing complex, high-value contracts.
- Strong understanding: Strong understanding of legal, financial, and compliance aspects of commercial contracts.
- Excellent negotiation: Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills.
- Strong analytical: Strong analytical and financial skills with attention to detail.
