Job Title: Continental Kitchen Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Continental Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and cooking continental dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet the required quality and presentation specifications.
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in managing daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, stock rotation, and proper storage of food.
  • Ensure mise en place is ready for service, and maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and specials, and contribute to the creation of innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Maintain high personal grooming and uniform standards, adhering to company dress code policies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Continental Kitchen Assistant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of continental cuisine, including recipes, presentation techniques, and ingredient sourcing.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.
