Job Title: Strategic Risk Leader

Job Description:

As a seasoned risk management professional, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects across various operational risk management areas for financial institutions. Your role will entail overseeing the implementation of robust risk frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.

  • Lead project teams to deliver high-quality results and meet business needs, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Review, verify, and validate existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.
  • Identify changes to the risk profile and consider their impact on heat maps for risk rating, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide regular updates and quality reviews, showcasing your exceptional communication skills.
  • Develop and present risk dashboards and analytics to demonstrate value to clients, leveraging data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Risk Management: Lead and manage projects to assess and mitigate operational risks in financial institutions, ensuring the organization remains resilient and compliant.
  • Project Management: Develop project plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery, maintaining a high level of accountability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide regular updates and quality reviews, building trust and rapport.
  • Risk Assessment: Meet regulatory expectations by assessing key aspects of each area under review, providing expert guidance.
  • Communication: Develop and present risk dashboards and analytics to demonstrate value to clients, effectively communicating complex information.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 9-12 years of experience in operational risk management, incident management, third-party risks, business continuity planning, loss data, fraud risk, internal controls, SOPs, and policies, showcasing your extensive knowledge and expertise.
  • A CA, ACCA, MBA, or any other relevant master's program, demonstrating your academic excellence.
  • A strong understanding of global and Indian frameworks, methodologies, and standards on process risk and controls, highlighting your ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • A very strong understanding of the financial services industry, businesses, regulators, and their roles, positioning you as a subject matter expert.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP), demonstrating your commitment to best practices.
  • ORM certifications, showcasing your expertise in operational risk management.
  • Exposure to GRC tools such as MetricStream, SAP GRC, etc., highlighting your proficiency in technology-enabled risk management solutions.
