Job Opportunity: Executive Director of Data Strategy

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of a data management practice, encompassing data engineering, migration, modernization, and governance projects. A proven track record of ensuring delivery excellence through well-defined methodologies, standardized practices, and quality assurance frameworks is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices and standards for data project execution to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Project Health Monitoring: Continuously monitor project health through KPIs, metrics, and governance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Risk Management: Ensure effective risk management, escalation protocols, and change control processes are in place to mitigate potential issues.
  • Data Strategy Creation: Lead the creation and implementation of a data strategy that helps an organization effectively collect, manage, use, and protect its data to support business goals and drive value.
  • Architecture and Design: Define scalable and secure data architecture for data pipelines, warehousing, and processing systems.
  • Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake), and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) to support data management initiatives.
