Procurement Lead Job Overview

As a key player in the procurement team, you will be responsible for leading the management of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) for the supply of our marketed products and future innovations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies across business units, direct materials, cross-business unit teams, and cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration and productivity.
  • Establish a cost management framework and drive accountability for delivering agreed-upon cost reduction programs and associated targets.
  • Deploy negotiation strategy standards across CMOs and direct material suppliers by building a robust should-cost foundation.
  • Design and implement a strategic sourcing approach to effectively support product innovation and meet changing demands.
  • Be accountable for developing and implementing strategies to advance supply relationships with CMOs and material suppliers that address ambitions for cost, service, quality, lead time, working capital, and innovation.
  • Negotiate, create, execute, and manage effective contracts with CMOs and suppliers to maximize opportunities and drive value.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of + years of experience in procurement, preferably in direct and CMO domains.
  • Exceptional knowledge of procurement tools such as sourcing, RFQ, RFIs, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development, and others.
  • A proven track record of delivering strong cost reduction programs and experience in managing supplier performance and relationships across complex supply chains.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with others to drive change and implementation.
  • Experience in implementing new product launches and integrating new businesses and business models.
  • Demonstrated procurement experience operating in a cGMP OTC and FMCG environment.
