Job Description for Category Growth Strategist at Tata CLiQ

We are seeking a skilled Category Growth Strategist to join our team at Tata CLiQ. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and scaling categories in an online marketplace.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing category revenue and margin plans, leading research on category trends, and driving brand relationships. Additionally, they will be expected to drive brand negotiations, improve customer experience, and guide a team of direct reporting category managers and indirect reporting account managers.

The Category Growth Strategist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain, to deliver top-line, bottom-line, and customer experience key performance indicators (KRAs). They will also be responsible for establishing the strategy, merchandise planning, system build-out, and partnerships necessary to grow the business.

This is a P&L leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be able to switch between execution and strategy mode effortlessly.

Required skills and experience include a postgraduate degree from a premier B-School, over 7-9 years of work experience, and a proven track record of building and scaling categories in an online marketplace. Experience in scaling consumer electronics and large/small appliances categories is a plus.
