Project Acquisition Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Acquisition Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading land acquisition activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless project implementation.

  • Lead land acquisition efforts, identifying suitable sites, and negotiating with landowners.
  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, project management, legal, and finance teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Obtain necessary approvals, such as AAI NOC and MoD NOC.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Significant experience in land acquisition, including site identification, valuation reports, and negotiation.
  • Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in land procurement/acquisition for wind and/or solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
  • Familiarity with land acquisition processes, including procurement, leasing, easement, etc., for renewable power projects.
  • Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
  • Proficiency in identifying suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects.
  • Proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to execute land procurement targets, plans, and project development activities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges in land acquisition and project development.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability principles.
