Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Specialist to spearhead our land acquisition efforts across Maharashtra, India.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Land Identification and Acquisition:
  • Identify and acquire suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects, considering technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.
  • Lead the end-to-end land acquisition process, including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.
Relationship Building and Due Diligence:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.
  • Conduct title due diligence and ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with internal legal teams.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Oversee Right of Way (RoW) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
Team Supervision and Conflict Resolution:
  • Monitor local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to optimize cost-effective deals.
  • Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  • Address conflict resolution and mitigate any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
Reporting and Progress Update:
  • Regularly update management on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans.
