Business Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Business Consultant to join our team at Blue Matter. As a Business Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients across the biopharma industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Familiarize yourself with project objectives, scope, workflows, and deadlines at kick-off, engaging regularly with US/Europe-side teams.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research within tight timeframes.
  • Identify critical insights, recommendations, opportunities, and threats to inform corporate and commercial strategies.
  • Utilize analytical tools to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop compelling slides or memos effectively communicating analysis results.
  • Prepare materials for project meetings and workshops.
  • Maintain regular engagement with senior internal stakeholders and manage upward effectively.
  • Demonstrate accountability for completing high-quality work on all assigned responsibilities.
  • Participate in and contribute to internal initiatives including business development, knowledge management, and new capabilities development.
  • Engage with clients through various means (e.g., weekly updates, workshops, interim/final presentations).
Desired Experience and Skills:
  • An understanding of clinical trial phases and its impact on strategic decision-making.
  • The ability to integrate scientific, business, and industry knowledge in developing creative solutions for clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating mature structured thinking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid time management skills, showcasing high functioning efficiency.
  • A proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • The willingness and ability to distill key insights from complex scientific material.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience using proprietary pharma databases.
  • Experience with pharma marketing analytics, valuation, or forecasting/modeling is an asset.
  • US/Europe life sciences industry knowledge and exposure is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree(s) (PhD, MBBS, BDS, MBA, MS, BPharm/MPharm, MPH).
  • 2-3 years of prior consulting experience OR at least 2-3 years of biopharma industry experience in roles like marketing, portfolio planning, corporate strategy, or business development.

Compensation and Benefits:

Our estimated annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 based on industry standards, depending on your qualifications and location.
