Business Development Head Job Description

This position is responsible for strategy, growth and achievement of rapidly expanding eB2B business.


The Business Development Head will drive P&L and market share driven growth decisions for the eB2B business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze progress for sales, customer management and operational parameters.
  • Market size the overall geography and expand into cities and districts across territories.
  • Responsible for customer penetration and maximization of customer density and customer output in the region.
  • Coordinate and follow up with cross functional teams for growth and relationship management of existing business.
  • Maintain relationships with Key Community Leaders in designated areas and mentor teams towards right relationship management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Leverage personal network to build process for customer acquisition, retention and loyalty.
  • Drive data-driven insights leading to sales, profitability and custom strategies.
  • Own all parts of customer journey through creating a deep and wide funnel from lead generation to customer satisfaction.
  • Own and drive customer relationships and be responsible for payments and collection of outstanding amounts.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Experience in handling large, multi-tiered, geographically spread sales teams.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.
  • Problem-solving and issue-resolution skills; ability to work in deadline-driven work environment.
