System Support Specialist Job

We seek a skilled specialist to provide technical support for Genetec Security Center and OnGuard access control systems. As a key member of our offshore team, you will troubleshoot issues, analyze system incidents, and implement enhancements to improve system functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide timely and effective technical support for Genetec Security Center and OnGuard access control systems remotely.
  • System Analysis and Incident Resolution: Analyze, debug, and resolve system incidents, alarms, and operational issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with onsite teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely problem resolution and maintain open communication channels.
  • Software Development and Deployment: Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software enhancements and custom integrations to improve system functionality.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and support procedures, as well as deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to junior staff or end-users when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field is essential for this role.
  • Experience and Knowledge: A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with Genetec Security Center and/or OnGuard Access Control System support, maintenance, and enhancements, along with a good understanding of access control concepts, physical security principles, and industry standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SQL and database management related to Genetec/OnGuard platforms, proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, C#, or .NET for automation and customization, and familiarity with server and client software installation and configuration.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote/offshore environment and coordinate with global teams.
