Job Title

Plant Supply Chain Manager role is critical for managing end-to-end supply chain functions for the factory.

  • Production planning and control (PPC) including production scheduling, plant sourcing, indirect sourcing at the plant, plant stores (RM and FG warehousing), logistics, and scrap management.

The Plant Supply Chain Manager oversees planning, procurement, production scheduling, inventory, and logistics to ensure efficient, cost-effective manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Align material availability with the production plan to ensure zero downtime.
  2. Collaborate with production, sales, and central planning teams for demand forecasting and capacity planning.
  3. Monitor daily and weekly production plans and adjust schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination:

  1. Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
  2. Coordinate with central procurement and approved vendors to track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and quality compliance.

Inventory Management:

  1. Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  2. Monitor stock ageing, non-moving inventory, and initiate timely disposal or consumption plans.

Warehousing & Logistics:

  1. Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure OTIF deliveries.
  2. Manage warehouse operations, space utilization, and storage safety.

Cost & Process Optimization:

  1. Identify and implement initiatives to reduce logistics, inventory carrying, and procurement costs.
  2. Drive process improvements using lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in Engineering / Science / Commerce (MBA or PG in Supply Chain preferred).
  • 12-20 years of relevant experience in supply chain or operations management in a manufacturing setup.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, MRP, logistics, and warehousing practices.
